The FREEDOM of Self-Expression

As a little girl, I never liked to be told what to do. I grew up playing whatever I wanted to play and wearing whatever I wanted to wear (even velvet boots in hot and humid weather).
As an adolescent, I would play with the color of my hair and sometimes style it by cutting it with a razor. I would also express myself through fashion, and one of the outfits that I would put together included a tie. There wasn't too much thought put into it—all I was doing was just being ME. I thank my parents for always allowing me to be free and to express myself.
Now, as an adult and as an artist (I still don't like to be told what to do), I will continue to express myself creatively in different ways and to achieve the highest, truest expression of myself.
I believe it is important to be in touch with our "feminine" and "masculine" energies since we all have both within us and are able to tap into them.
We can be fearless, ambitious, and independent, but also kind, generous, affectionate, and compassionate at the same time.
All of these qualities are Universal because WE ARE UNIVERSAL.
